The queen bee
is back!
It’s not an April Fools’ joke. Queen Bee is officially back, for a limited time.
Starting March 2026, Four Corners Brewing Co. is bringing back one of its most beloved legacy beers: Queen Bee Grapefruit Saison. Bright, citrusy, and brewed with Texas pride, this fan favorite returns to shelves and taps just in time for patio season in Dallas.
A Texas Craft Beer Story That Started with a Single Pour
Queen Bee didn’t start in a lab or on a production schedule. It started at a festival.
Back in May 2016, the Four Corners crew rolled into North Texas Firkin Fest at Globe Life Park in Arlington with something special. Firkin Fest wasn’t your average beer event. Breweries brought small-batch, firkin-conditioned beers. These were experimental, one-off creations that pushed boundaries and invited creativity.
Our submission?
A grapefruit-kissed twist on El Super Bee Saison.
It was bright. Zesty. Unexpected. And it turned heads.
That single pour sparked something bigger. What began as an experimental cask would go on to become a FCBC beer that fans still talk about today.

It’s vibrant, slightly spicy, and unmistakably Texan.
What Is a Saison Beer?
If you’re new to saisons, here’s the quick rundown.
A saison is a farmhouse-style ale that originated in Belgium, traditionally brewed for farm workers during warmer months. These beers are known for being highly refreshing, dry, and complex, often featuring:
- Fruity and citrus-forward notes
- Subtle spice from the yeast
- Light to medium body with a crisp finish
Saisons are incredibly versatile, which makes them perfect for experimentation. That’s where Queen Bee shines.
By layering in Texas honey and grapefruit, Queen Bee takes the classic saison profile and elevates it with bright citrus, a touch of sweetness, and a smooth, sun-kissed finish that’s made for Texas weather.
What to Eat with Queen Bee
Queen Bee’s citrusy brightness and dry finish make it an easy win at the table. The grapefruit adds a juicy pop, while the saison backbone keeps things crisp and refreshing.
General Pairing Recommendations
Queen Bee pairs especially well with foods that are bold, savory, or slightly spicy:
- Grilled meats like chicken, pork, or sausages
- Spicy dishes such as tacos, wings, or Tex-Mex favorites
- Seafood like shrimp, fish tacos, or ceviche
- Salty, rich foods that benefit from a bright, citrus contrast
- Light desserts with citrus or honey notes
The carbonation and dryness help cut through richness, while the grapefruit enhances fresh, vibrant flavors.
Pair It at the Taproom: Pacheco Taco N Burger
